What this site keeps, and what it doesn't.
The short version: the free tools keep nothing, there are no tracking cookies or advertising trackers, and if you email us, we use your address only to reply.
Who we are
This site is run by the writer known as Charlie Jacks. For anything about your data, email hello@charliejacks.uk.
The free tools
Everything you type into the tools stays in your own browser. Nothing is sent to us or stored on any server.
Some tools, such as the Gap Check, can make a share link. Your answers travel inside that link. That means anyone who has the link, including anyone it is forwarded to, can see those answers. Only send it to people you're happy to share them with.
Cookies, fonts and tracking
This site doesn't use tracking cookies, advertising trackers or analytics. The fonts are hosted on this site, so loading a page doesn't send your details to a font service. Like any website, the company that hosts the site may keep short-term technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep it secure and running.
If you email us
When you email to register interest or ask a question, we keep your email address and message so we can reply, and, if you asked, to tell you when a product is ready. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask, we don't share your details, and we'll delete them whenever you ask.
Newsletter and purchases
The newsletter sign-up is provided by Substack, and purchases will be handled by Payhip. When you use them, they process your details under their own privacy policies: Substack and Payhip.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Email hello@charliejacks.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
